Trade activities are one of the main sectors driving the national economy that can be carried out through international trade cooperation to support national development programs in the economic sector in order to promote public welfare as stated in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.
That in order to support the economic development program as referred to in letter a and to encourage the acceleration of national economic recovery, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia together with the Governments of the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, as well as the Governments of Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of China, and New Zealand has signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement on November 15, 2020, and for the Government of Indonesia the signing was held in Bogor, Indonesia.
This law ratifies the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed by the Government of Indonesia on November 15, 2020, in Bogor, Indonesia.
As attached, a copy of the original Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in English and its translation in Indonesian is an integral part of this Law.
This Law comes into force on the date of its promulgation, which is September 27, 2022.
